"My love for music actually did not start with an instrument. It started with the music I heard around me, growing up in Belchertown, Massachusetts. Whether it be classical or jazz on the radio, or The Beatles from my CD player, music was always an important part of my life. 

I began learning piano and singing at six years old and picked up the ukulele at 11 years old after seeing my dad enjoying the instrument. In sixth grade, after seeing my peers in fifth grade enjoy band, I was inspired to join and began learning the saxophone.

I continue to be a lifelong learner of music, keeping it a goal to increase my skills on newer learned instruments like the guitar. No one is too old or young to love and participate in music."
